Attorney Ben McIntosh is a Partner at SWMW Law. He joined the firm in 2023, focusing his practice on helping individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases.
A team member in the firm’s Asbestos Practice, Ben investigates asbestos-containing products in order to maximize recovery for clients. He will also assist in personal injury and civil rights matters.
An experienced and respected litigator, Ben utilizes his skills in the courtroom, inquisitive nature, and compassion for those he represents to give clients their best chance at success. He is driven by a desire to make the world a better place and give clients a no-nonsense advocate in the courtroom.
“I’m critically minded, strategic and naturally drawn to this kind of work – it makes me a great fit for this type of litigation,” he said. “I realize the importance of being straightforward and communicating in a no-frills, non-legal way to make sure we’re always on the same page.”
Ben thrives in the fast-paced world of litigation and realizes the importance of tailoring his approach to case based on each client’s unique situation.
“I’m really drawn to the challenge of putting together each client’s unique case,” he said. “I don’t consider myself just an advocate, but a counselor as well. I always strive to listen closely and compassionately to my clients in order to figure out how to best capture a ‘win’ for them. It won’t be the same for everyone, and that individualized approach is where I shine.”
Prior to joining SWMW Law, Ben litigated cases on the civil-defense side for nearly a decade. He defended insurers in coverage matters, companies against consumer class actions, and individuals accused of negligently injuring others
“After spending years working on the defense side, I’m inspired to now have the ability to help real people whose lives have been irreparably harmed through no fault of their own,” he said. “Having the ability to help change others’ lives is a privilege I don’t take lightly, and I am honored to have the opportunity to do so.”
