SWMW Law, one of the top plaintiffs law firms in the country focusing on representing victims of mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases, is proud to announce the promotion of Ben McIntosh to partner.
“Ben balances an innate sense of empathy for his clients with an unmatched confidence and tenacity in the courtroom. He’s an incomparable asset to those who work with him and an unwavering advocate for those he fights for,” said Member Ben Schmickle. “This promotion is well deserved, and we are incredibly fortunate to have him as a member of our team.”
McIntosh joined SWMW Law as an associate attorney in 2023, focusing his practice on helping individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases. Since joining the firm, McIntosh has led the charge in case development for a new consumer protection and class action department. In addition to his work in these primary practice areas, McIntosh also handles civil rights cases. In 2023, he was recognized as an Up & Coming Attorney by Missouri Lawyers Weekly.
Before joining the firm, McIntosh litigated cases on the civil-defense side for nearly a decade. He defended insurers in coverage matters, companies against consumer class actions, and individuals accused of negligently injuring others. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of St. Thomas with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish. He earned his J.D. with Cum Laude distinction from Saint Lous University School of Law.
