SWMW Law, one of the top plaintiffs law firms in the country focusing on representing victims of mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases, as well as individuals harmed by drugs, medical devices, environmental and toxic exposures, and consumer fraud, is proud to announce the promotion of Stephanie Gold to partner.
“Stephanie has continually grown as an attorney, mentor and leader in her time with the firm and it goes without saying that she has been instrumental to our success,” said founding partner Ben Schmickle. “This promotion is well-deserved and we are incredibly fortunate to have her as a member of our team.”
Gold joined SWMW Law as an associate attorney in 2014, focusing her practice on helping individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases. Before joining the firm, she worked for a firm in Madison County, IL where she represented clients injured by asbestos exposure. Prior to that, she was a trial attorney in New York City. She has represented clients in all stages of litigation, in a variety of State and Federal courts, and has aruged before the Missouri Court of Appeals and the New York Appellate Division.
Earlier this year, Gold was promoted to Case Development Team Leader. In this role, she leads a litigation group comprised of attorneys and support staff who serve the firm’s asbestos clients. In her nine years with the firm, she has secured nearly $35 million in recoveries for the hardworking men and women who were the victims of companies putting profit over people.
Gold is originally from St. Louis. She studied business administration at Miami University in Ohio and earned her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York.
