The conference will feature two days of panels and presentations involving thought leaders from all perspectives and constituencies in asbestos litigation. Participants will include prominent plaintiff and defense attorneys, in-house counsel, and insurance professionals.
Williams will participate in the panel discussion “Emerging Challenges Litigating Asbestos Lung Cancer Cases” on Wednesday, Sept. 14, which will discuss the following:
- Lung cancer causation – myths vs. reality
- Lung cancer epidemiology, causes, filing data and verdict history
- Smoking history and alternative cause associated with modern plaintiffs
The event not only provides educational and networking opportunities, but also provides Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits to attendees. This year’s conference will be held at the Charleston Place Hotel in Charleston, S.C.
